With every race in any league comes a winner and in turn comes a nice story about their background, their struggles, and quest on how they've reached the top.
Last Friday, our very own Tiff Daniels captured her very first drag racing event victory in just her second start as a competitor in the Modern Street HEMI Shootout Series.
Competing last weekend at the Atco Raceway in Atco, NJ, Daniels dropped the hammer on her Al Gennarelli Racing-prepared Dodge Challenger, nabbing the win in the Unlimited class.
In more ways than one, it was a tremendously successful weekend for Daniels and her AGR team, as they also raced their shopHEMI.com/Paramount Performance DragPak Dodge Challenger in the "King of the Hill" event.
She qualified for the race by virtue of her victory in the Unlimited division and she made some noise in that spectacular as well, going as far as the finals of the event.
Going just a tad faster than the dial-in time, Daniels still logged in a second-place effort in this race, which was impressive considering her transition from stock cars to drag cars.
"What an awesome feeling in just our second race!" exclaimed Daniels. "The team and my crew chief Jason did a great job preparing the car for this event. I am thrilled we were able to win, and to gain this momentum going into the off-season.
"Also, I would like to thank my car owner, Al Gennarelli, and our sponsors, shopHEMI.com, Arrington Engines and Paramount Performance – we couldn’t have won this race without them!"
Making the race weekend somewhat bittersweet was that it's their last race until next year. AGR will plan their schedule for next season in the coming weeks.
Kerstin and I, as well as the entire FanvsFan community, salute and congratulate Tiff on her victory in the Modern Street HEMI Shootout Series and we'll have more on her victory, including an in-depth interview with the winner herself, real soon!
